Some of my earliest memories involve a camera in hand, or pencil to the page of a journal.

Storytelling has always been a passion of mine and I love the way it connects

people. My name is Erin Wides and I began doing communications work at

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in February 2023. This includes the

layout and design of internal and external material, writing stories, updating

our website, and other tasks.

I spent December 2019 to January 2023 as a multimedia journalist in East

Texas. I reported on everything from city and county news, to features about the

wonderful and talented people in East Texas, and ran out on the breaking

news too. I attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO, and graduated in May 2019.

I received a degree in Digital Media Production with an emphasis in digital journalism. While in college, I was the Features Editor for our school newspaper, the Muleskinner, and helped host an on-the-street segment, iCentral, at our school.
