Up and at it!

Good morning to those reading this! It is Wednesday and we are now about half way through another beautiful week in life! Take a moment to smile. Right now, wherever you are, stop and SMILE. Done? Continue reading, and smiling if you want! Late last night I was finding it hard to fall asleep so I turned to my girl, Oprah's website; http://www.oprah.com/app/super-soul-sunday.html I highly recommend browsing through it in your free time. There are hundreds, if not thousands of stories to help get you through anytime in life. I came across Oprah's interview with Tony Robbins and immediately got inspired. (http://www.supersoul.tv/supersoul-full-episodes/tony-robbins-full-episode) It is about an 40 minute interview in which Tony Robbins discusses his reason for inspiring and motivating others. He said a couple of really strong quotes that have stuck with me through the night and this morning. One going something along the lines of, "Life happens FOR us, not TO us." I interpreted this as being a reminder to be grateful for each experience no matter how painful, or how seemingly great it is. From each and every struggle and, or triumph I continue growing and becoming stronger. I am able to gain the skills of empathy for others more and more. Tony also mentioned that we should give more appreciation than expectations for ourselves, and others. If we can be conscious and appreciate the moments that we are given everyday, we will soon see more positive results. We won't be worrying about attempting to reach unrealistic expectations, and be more focused on doing what we are able to, in the moments we are given, with the tools that we have. The third quote that I am focusing on is, "We get what we tolerate." This is something that I focus on everyday. I tend to feel emotions deeper and go through life a little more conscious than others. I believe it to be both a blessing and a curse. With this comes being very aware of who I surround myself with, one day I could LOVE being around someone, than they say some comment that I don't necessarily agree with, so I then distance myself from them, because I know that I am better than what they may have said. Even if it was not intended to bother me, if I feel like I need space, I will take my space. I get what I put in to the world, if I surround myself with other positive people I will continue feeling good. This is not to say I totally disregard negativity. When it comes I do my best to be aware, and find a way to fix it. If there are negative people, sometimes I try to talk with them, maybe make them conscious. There is only so much that I can do. After watching this interview and thinking through these quotes, I wrote out some goals that I wanted to achieve and how to go about those. This morning I dedicated myself to the first one, doing something for myself every morning. I am kind of getting two of those done this morning. Working out and blogging. I went to gym this morning and got a running, rowing, and arm workout in. I walked out feeling great! Was waking up at 5:50 am fun, not really? Although I was still on this motivational high from the night, and remembered why I was getting up. Always remind yourself WHY you are doing what you are doing. If it is bettering yourself and those around you, I highly encourage you to do whatever you can to keep it up! I always LOVE seeing individuals strengthening themselves and others. I will always cheer and support you if you are doing something good for yourself! Never let the words from someone else's mouth, overpower that voice in your head if your heart feels right doing something! I love you all, much love and appreciation for reading! Stay tuned for more...now that college has started back up, I'll have lots to think about and write out!!

That 6 am workout to get my day going.
